Introduction of services


Sunshine, Shower and Storage SL is a new business in Benidorm designed to allow tourists
to spend their first or last few hours enjoying this wonderful resort, with a safe facility to store
luggage, change in a comfortable area and shower if needed before a journey home.

 

General information


● Based on Calle Atocha 5, Local 3, Benidorm 03502. 650m from Poniente beach and
the number 2 bus from Levante stops less than 50m away on Avenida Rey De Jaime
1 outside the BP garage. We are on the street directly behind it.


● We are a family run business and have created this safe space after working here for
many years and seeing what the area needs. Customer safety is our number one
priority, should you feel unsafe/uncomfortable, or notice anything suspicious, please
advise a member of staff immediately.


● As this is a business based on booked in clients only, there may be times the facility
is closed within the opening hours if there are no bookings. Don’t panic if you see us
closed, if you are booked in, we will be there.


● We are aiming to get on to all transfer company websites as a drop off and pick up
point to make your experience as easy and safe as possible, however, if they haven't
uploaded our data, we are opposite the Hotel Andalucia which can be used as a valid
location on those sites.


● You do not need to wait until 11/12 for hotel check out, you can book in with us from
9am and enjoy the full day on an excursion or the beach.


● The lockers are available for half or full day bookings. Please advise on the times required on the booking form. 


● We open at 9am, however if you do have an earlier flight, please contact us and we
will see if we can accommodate your needs.

Onsite safety measures


● Covered by Movistar Prosegur security with constant video surveillance over the
locker areas to ensure your belongings are safe at all times and only handled by you.


● Combination locks with a 4 digit code unique to you, reset to 0000 when finished or
leave the door open.


● There is a member of staff to meet and greet you at all times, so please advise on
arrival and collection times upon booking, please let us know at your earliest
convenience if this changes.


● All persons need to be booked in, with ID checked upon arrival, CCTV can be
referred to by staff to ensure the right person is gaining access should we deem it
necessary. We are not open to the public, clients only.


● No cash is taken or held onsite, as this could make the business a target for criminal
activity. Your safety is our number one priority so we take away any external risks.


● We do have an SOS button and panic alarm onsite, should any incident occur
criminally or medically we are fully connected to the authorities.


Payment terms


Payments must be paid online at the time of booking, this can be up to an hour before as we
work on a real time booking system. Our bank is BBVA and a bank transfer can be done if
preferred rather than an online payment. If you are in Benidorm on holiday and want to book
for the future or would like to pay by card in store, please contact the facility and we can
book you in.


Facility rules


● No more than 6-8 people to enter at any 1 time, for large groups or families
(depending on the ages of the children) there are numerous establishments close by
where you can wait if chosen the shower/change option.


● The changing facilities are provided in good faith, anyone abusing this, stealing or
causing damage will be liable to penalties or prosecution, explained further down and
be asked to leave the premises.


● Anyone too intoxicated to use the shower area alone, will be allowed to wait for their
transfer, unless they are a nuisance to staff and other clients.


● Please be respectful of the surrounding neighbours especially in Siesta time
2pm-5pm.


● Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner are provided onsite or you can use your own.


● No hair dye or fake tan to be applied on the premises, any damage from any semi or
permanent tint will be charged to the client in the way that they used to pay.

Please advise staff if you have any major allergies with foods/cosmetics so products
can be checked, and removed if necessary, prior to arrival. We cannot however
guarantee what will be stored by other users in lockers.


Shower usage


Please do not use the shower unless you have booked in and paid for it. If there are no
clients booked in, you can upgrade to this service. Anyone found abusing this will be
charged under penalties.
The shower is on a timer, after 10 minutes it will shut off for a further 10 minutes. This is to
be more environmentally friendly and water conscious due to the current water levels across
the country.


Families


Children under the age of 16 must be closely accompanied by their guardian at all times at
the facility. The facility can be busy with multiple activities and people, there is a family
waiting area with books and toys to occupy young children, please leave the area clean and
tidy for the next parents and report any mishaps to staff.


There are 2 high chairs onsite that can be used by parents with small children. These can be
taken into the shower room, however it is the parents responsibility to ensure the child is
safely secured and away from any wall or surface where they could harm themselves. It is
an open plan wet room so you do have full access to your child at all times.


Users with disabilities


The bathroom has been adapted with toilet and shower rails, as well as a folding shower
seat.
Any users with disabilities who need a carer to accompany them into the shower room, must
prove that they are a registered care giver to the persons.


No aid can be given by members of staff, they are only there to ensure all guidelines
are adhered to and ensure it is yourself that returns for the luggage if stored.


If any user is not capable of showering on their own, and continues without aid, we will not
be held liable for any incidents that may occur.

Storage rules


You must not store any of the following in the lockers:


● Food or perishable goods unless securely packed so they do not omit strong
odours/affect others allergies
● Any living creatures;
● Combustible or flammable substances such as gas, paint, petrol, oil, cleaning
solvents or compressed gases;
● Firearms, explosives, weapons or ammunition;
● Chemicals, radioactive materials, biological agents, toxic waste, asbestos or other
potentially hazardous substances;
● Any item that emits fumes, or odours;
● Any illegal item or substances or goods illegally obtained such as illicit
(counterfeit/smuggled) tobacco or alcohol and unlicensed or unsafe goods (such as
toys, electrical goods, medicines, aerosols, cosmetics, fireworks);
● Goods which are environmentally harmful or that are a risk to the property of any
person;


Any damage caused to other peoples belongings as a result of your error will be charged to
you. Ensure any liquid items stored are fully sealed and stored correctly.


Lockers are insured up to 400€ in the event of a major incident, however gadgets such as
mobiles and laptops unfortunately can’t be covered so would need to be covered under
personal travel insurance. I am working with a number of companies to resolve this, however
currently no company in Europe will cover these.


Penalties applicable:


The penalties detailed in this section will be paid by the customer with the same payment
method used by the customer when contracting the service, or by bank transfer to the
account indicated by Sunshine, Shower and Storage SL. The customer accepts that
Sunshine, Shower and Storage SL proceed to collect the amounts established in this section
using the customer's card or payment method when contracting the service.


⦁ Untimely collection of luggage


Our opening times are 9am - 9pm and luggage must be collected by 9pm. Failure to contact
us or collect luggage will result in a fine of 50€.


In cases of emergency our best efforts will be used to get your luggage returned. Yourself
and the emergency contact provided are the only persons, apart from emergency personnel.
i.e. police/ambulance, that can authorise and arrange any transport of your luggage, at your
expense, and we assume no responsibility once it has left our premises.


Sunshine, Shower and Storage SL will not be liable for any loss or damages suffered by you
as a result of you not being able to access the facility outside of the opening times,
regardless of the cause.

⦁ Damage caused to lockers and common areas


Any significant damage caused to lockers with intention will result in the following
penalties due to lack of operation:


⦁ Broken locks – 100€
⦁ Damage to doors 150€
⦁ Damage to multiple lockers minimum 500€
⦁ Any damage to mirrors or fittings 100€


⦁ Use of facilities not paid for


50% extra than the original cost, for delays and potential disruption of services.


Any theft from the premises or other clients, or any criminal activity will be reported to the
authorities and all CCTV is provided directly through Movistar Prosegur Alarms. The staff do
not have any control over the CCTV except the ability to view if required.
